Fromm Organic Chardonnay 2023

FROMM Organic Chardonnay is a dry, textural Marlborough Chardonnay built around apple, pear and ripe nectarine, with grapefruit, subtle vanilla and savoury lees adding complexity. There is a gentle apple-pie richness through the middle, but fresh acidity, fine phenolic grip and a chalky mineral edge keep the palate focused and energetic. FROMM favours terroir over technology, using certified-organic fruit and restrained winemaking to let the vineyard do most of the talking. Layered without becoming heavy, this is excellent with roast chicken, creamy seafood, mushroom dishes or richer pasta.

Hand-picked Chardonnay from Marlborough’s Brancott Valley is fermented using indigenous yeasts and undergoes full malolactic fermentation, creating a dry wine with texture, finesse and a subtle oak influence. Apple and pear aromas are joined by custard, nectarine and gentle vanilla, carrying through to a concentrated palate framed by fresh acidity and a fine apple-skin grip. The house style places greater emphasis on mineral character and structure than overt tropical fruit. Certified organic.
