Velar Cannonau di Sardegna is an expressive Sardinian red made entirely from Cannonau, the island's distinctive local expression of Grenache. Sourced from vineyards around Mogoro in western Sardinia, it combines generous Mediterranean fruit with floral perfume, savoury herbs and a smooth, elegant structure. Ripe and characterful without feeling overly heavy, the 2020 vintage offers an inviting introduction to one of Italy's most individual red varieties. Pair it with grilled lamb, venison, tomato-based pasta, vegetable lasagne or aged sheep's milk cheese.

Bright ruby with violet reflections that develop garnet tones over time. Intense aromas of ripe cherry and blackberry are joined by violet, dried rose and aromatic herbs. The palate is elegant and velvety, with generous fruit, well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity carrying the wine through a persistent finish. Made from 100% Cannonau grown in Mogoro and the surrounding area of Sardinia.
