Chateau Gassier Esprit IGP Mediterranee Rose 2024
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Chateau Gassier Esprit IGP Mediterranee Rose is the lightest, freshest expression from a Provençal estate whose roots trace back to 1421. Grown by the Gassier family from their cool base near Sainte-Victoire and bottled under the broader Méditerranée designation, it's a pale, delicate rosé built on Grenache and Cinsault, with white peach, yellow nectarine and a floral lift on the nose. The palate stays dry and mineral, with a faint stony finish rather than anything sweet or heavy. Organic since 2016, the estate keeps yields low to concentrate the fruit. Chill it right down and it's built for a warm evening on the deck.
What the winery says:
Esprit is Château Gassier's coolest, lightest-styled rosé, made from fruit grown on cool sites close to Sainte-Victoire in Provence and released under the IGP Méditerranée designation. In the glass it is pale pink with a slightly peachy hue, opening to aromas of white peach and yellow nectarine. The palate carries lovely minerality and freshness, with a touch of creamy texture rounding out a dry, refreshing finish. The Gassier family has owned the estate since 1982 and has farmed it organically since 2016.
