Mont'Albano Bardolino Chiaretto Rose DOC
Made from Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara, the classic red grapes of Lake Garda turned into a pale, delicate rose, this organic Bardolino Chiaretto comes from Mont'Albano in Italy's Veneto region. Bardolino Chiaretto was one of the first Italian wine areas to be awarded DOC status back in 1968, and this bottling stays true to that heritage with a bright, dry style built for warm weather drinking. Expect fresh red fruit and a touch of citrus, with a crisp, refreshing finish that never feels heavy. At 13% ABV, it works equally well on its own as an aperitif or alongside light Italian dishes, from antipasti to seafood pasta.
What the winery says: Mont'Albano has farmed organically in northern Italy since the mid 1980s, and this Bardolino Chiaretto reflects that same commitment to organic practice, made from Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara grown around Lake Garda. Bardolino Chiaretto was among the very first Italian wine regions to receive DOC recognition, back in 1968, and Mont'Albano's version is a dry, food friendly rose with delicate fruit character. As with the rest of the range, the wine is bottled with sustainability in mind, from lighter glass to recycled label paper.
