Framingham Pinot Gris draws its stylistic inspiration from Alsace, picked late to build richness and leaning hard into texture through seasoned wood and time on lees. It opens with red apple, nectarine and a flinty, savoury edge, moving into an intense, richly textured palate carrying stone fruit and ginger through to a long, vivid, quartz-like finish. It's a wine built around mouthfeel as much as fruit character, weighty and textural without losing its sense of freshness - the kind of Pinot Gris that rewards a decant and a proper glass rather than a quick pour.

What the winery says:
Fruit for this Pinot Gris was sourced from three different sites, with half destemmed and left on skins for twelve hours to build flavour and texture before pressing, while the remainder was whole bunch pressed. The juices were treated oxidatively and racked cloudy, then split evenly between oak barriques and stainless steel tanks, before the components spent five months on full ferment lees prior to blending and bottling.

"Bright, fruity, varietal and fresh. Aromas and flavours of pomaceous fruits including pear and apple then a touch of white spice and stony mineral suggestions. A dry wine on the palate with a fine lees complexity, fruit flavours that mirror the bouquet and acid line to keep the palate salivating and keen. best drinking from day of purchase through end of summer 2027."
