Pyramid Valley Kereru Road Chardonnay 2024
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Pyramid Valley Kererū Road Chardonnay brings Hawke’s Bay warmth into Pyramid Valley’s precise, naturally made Chardonnay style. Ripe nectarine, pear, apple and Meyer lemon are joined by shortbread and gentle nutty richness, with fresh acidity, mineral texture and a salty edge keeping everything beautifully focused. The fruit comes from the elevated Two Terraces Vineyard in Mangatahi, chosen as Pyramid Valley’s Hawke’s Bay answer to the generous but finely balanced Chardonnays of the Mâconnais. Plush enough for Chardonnay lovers, energetic enough to keep the second glass moving.
What the winery says:
The fruit is hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed before wild fermentation in a combination of concrete tulipes and seasoned oak. Extended time on lees builds softness, depth and savoury complexity before the wine is bottled unfined. Expect ripe stone fruit, pear, apple and citrus, with a subtle shortbread character, creamy nut-like texture and a long, saline finish.
