Gibbston Valley Gold River Pinot Noir 2023
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Gibbston Valley Gold River Pinot Noir brings plenty of Central Otago charm without demanding a special occasion. Bright cherry and raspberry lead the way, joined by dried thyme, berry compote and a gentle lick of woodsmoke. The palate is juicy, rounded and fruit-forward, making this an easy Pinot Noir to enjoy now. Gibbston Valley released Central Otago’s first commercial wine vintage in 1987, so there is serious regional know-how behind this relaxed, food-friendly bottle. Pour it alongside roast duck, lamb burgers or mushroom pasta.
What the winery says:
The Gold River range is made for generous fruit flavour and immediate drinking pleasure. Handpicked Pinot Noir fruit is fermented in small, open-top batches before spending six to nine months in French oak. The 2023 has an alcohol level of 13.5%, with bright red fruit, dried herb notes and subtle smoky oak shaping its approachable Central Otago style.
