Bideona is a Rioja Alavesa producer in northern Spain, founded in 2018 when Basque entrepreneur Gorka Izagirre bought the historic Bodegas Arabarte winery with a group of wine professionals, including Masters of Wine Andreas Kubach and Sam Harrop. The name comes from the Basque bide ona, meaning the good way, an aim to express origin over method. Rather than farming one estate, Bideona works across more than three hundred small parcels, building single-vineyard and village wines from growers across several historic villages.

The vineyards sit in the highest part of Rioja, where the Sierra Cantabria mountains bring cooler, damper conditions than elsewhere in the region. Many parcels are more than fifty years old, some planted in the 1920s on hillside terraces suited to slow ripening. Tempranillo dominates the plantings, prized for structured, age-worthy red wine, while a smaller share of Viura feeds the range's white wine.
