Unico Zelo Fresh A.F began as a collaboration with the No Mafia crew and grew into one of South Australia's most talked-about reds, a Nero d'Avola lifted with a touch of ancient vine Zibibbo. It shows green peppercorn, violets and olive tapenade framing a forest-berry compote, supple and midweight with crunchy acidity. Built for an aggressive chill, it's very good buying for a red this refreshing.

Made by Brendan and Laura Carter at Unico Zelo from Nero d'Avola grown in South Australia's Riverland, lifted with a touch of ancient vine Zibibbo. No additions are made in the vineyard or winery beyond a small amount of sulphur at bottling. It shows succulent, juicy red fruit with green peppercorn, violets and olive tapenade, best served with an aggressive chill. It suits antipasto, light pasta dishes or a simple pizza night.
