Triplebank Pinot Noir 2024
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Triplebank Pinot Noir is vibrant and lifted, opening with blueberry, raspberry and liquorice aromas shot through with anise and a note of earthy forest floor. The palate follows through with fresh raspberry, cherry and plum, carried on a generous texture with silky tannins and a whisper of savoury oak. It's approachable right now, with enough concentration to reward another year or two in the cellar. Like the rest of the Triplebank range, it comes from the mudstone-bound soils of the Awatere Valley, which keep yields low and flavours vivid. Pair it with braised beef cheeks over parmesan polenta and sautéed mushrooms, or any dish where savoury, earthy flavours lead.
What the winery says:
This vibrant Triplebank Pinot Noir has lifted aromas of blueberry, raspberry and liquorice coupled with hints of anise and earthy forest. On the palate, fresh raspberry, cherry and plum flavours carry through, supported by a generous texture with silky tannins and hints of savoury oak, leading to a long, satisfying finish. Very approachable now, this wine will also gain depth and complexity over the next one to four years.
