The 2022 Sandpiper Merlot is a medium-bodied, vegan-friendly Barossa red bottled under screwcap. It shows lifted plum and blackberry aromas with perfume and spice, followed by ripe plum, redcurrant, light musk and baking spice on the palate. The fruit is generous, the tannins are smooth, and the finish is long and savoury. Thorn-Clarke recommends cellaring for three to eight years.
