Gancia Prosecco Rose DOC 2024
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Gancia Prosecco Rose DOC brings a bright Italian lift to the glass, with fine bubbles, raspberry and blueberry fruit, rose-petal fragrance and a fresh, gently rounded finish. Made in an Extra Dry style from Glera and Pinot Noir, it has enough sweetness to keep the berry flavours generous while remaining crisp and lively. The delicate pink colour looks the part, but the real appeal is how effortless it is to drink. Pour it well chilled for aperitivo hour, with salmon blinis, sushi, vegetable risotto or a relaxed platter of cured meats and cheese.
What the winery says:
Casa Gancia blends 85-90% Glera with 10-15% Pinot Noir. The varieties are fermented separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with brief skin contact for the Pinot Noir to draw colour and aroma. After blending, the wine undergoes its second fermentation in sealed tanks using the Martinotti method and is prepared for bottling after 60 days. The finished wine is 11% alcohol with 17 g/L residual sugar. The winery describes fine, persistent bubbles, red berry and rose-petal aromas, and a fresh, fragrant and harmonious palate. Serve at 6-8°C.
