Deen De Bortoli Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Case Buys Only | 6 x 750ml
Deen De Bortoli Cabernet Sauvignon is a generous Australian red created in tribute to Deen De Bortoli and his belief that quality wine should be enjoyed by everyone. Dark berries, plum and cherry meet dried herbs, cedar, mocha and chocolate, supported by firm but finely managed tannins and refreshing acidity. Twelve months in a combination of stainless steel and American oak adds depth while preserving the ripe fruit. Full flavoured, vegan friendly and immediately approachable, it is a natural match for ribeye steak, roast beef or barbecued meats.
What the winery says:
Deep crimson red in appearance, with intense dark fruits, dark chocolate and hints of dried herb. The generous palate shows further dark berry fruit, cedar and a fine tannin finish. The fruit was harvested during the cool of the morning, destemmed and fermented for seven days. A small portion matured in stainless steel, while the remainder spent 12 months in new and seasoned American oak hogsheads and barriques before blending and bottling.
What the experts say:
The Global Cabernet Sauvignon Masters 2026, Silver Medal (2020 Vintage)
"The nose is intense and inviting, showcasing layers of mocha intertwined with rich black fruits."
