Auntsfield Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is a concentrated, textural expression of Marlborough Sauvignon, bringing together passionfruit, white peach and papaya with lime, grapefruit and aromatic herbs. There is plenty of ripe fruit and weight through the palate, but a firm mineral line and pithy citrus freshness keep it tight, dry and beautifully composed. Grown on Auntsfield’s ancient Greywacke rock and loess-clay soils, it comes from the historic site of Marlborough’s first vineyard and winery. More layered than the standard tropical-fruit routine, this is excellent with shellfish, grilled fish, goat’s cheese or herb-heavy dishes.

What the winery says:

Lifted passionfruit, ripe citrus and lime are joined by dried herbs, lemongrass, papaya and a subtle jalapeño note. The palate is powerful and concentrated, showing passionfruit juice and white peach alongside lime and grapefruit pith, with underlying minerality and firm structure creating tension and balance. The fruit is picked during cool evenings and fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel, including a small indigenous-yeast portion, before extended contact with the lees builds texture and length.

What the experts say:

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, 95/100 & 5 Stars
“It's gorgeously expressed on the nose, with aromas of passionfruit, kaffir lime, rockmelon, and fresh herbs.”

Cameron Douglas MS, 95/100 & Outstanding
“Fantastic bouquet and palate with layers of white fleshed orchard fruits and citrus.”

Erin Larkin, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, 93/100
“This has a richness that it carries without weight and shows an attractive spice and minerality to close.”
