Decibel Organic Rose 2024

Decibel Organic Rosé is a bright, expressive Hawke's Bay rosé made from certified organic Merlot grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle. Strawberry, ripe berries and orange blossom bring generous fruit and floral lift, while crushed thyme and a subtle mineral character add a savoury edge. The palate is rich and rounded at first, then freshens through a lively mid-palate, chalky texture and crisp, dry finish. More substantial than a delicate Provençal-style rosé, it remains refreshing and highly versatile. Serve well chilled with charcuterie, grilled salmon, summer salads or a relaxed tasting platter.

What the winery says:

The fruit came from a single certified organic Merlot vineyard in Hawke's Bay's Bridge Pa subregion, where iron-rich silt and loam soils help produce approachable, generously fruited wines. Bright pink with salmon hues, the wine shows strawberry, orange blossom, white flowers and honeysuckle, followed by ripe berries, fresh raspberry and crushed wild thyme. The juice was settled and fermented slowly at cool temperatures in stainless steel using organic nutrients and a certified organic yeast strain. It was then cold settled and stabilised before bottling under screwcap to preserve its vibrant fruit and aromatic freshness.
