The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, yet finely polished tannins and fresh acidity keep everything composed. Made by the Donaldson family behind Pegasus Bay, this is an approachable red with genuine structure and enough depth to reward a few years in the cellar. Fermentation began naturally in stainless steel tanks, with regular pumping over to extract balanced tannins before the wine was gently pressed into French oak barriques. It underwent natural malolactic fermentation the following summer and matured in oak for 18 months. The finished blend is predominantly Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon, showing ripe berry fruit, polished tannins, subtle oak and a long finish.
