The 2026 vintage is bursting with ripe pear, crisp apple and juicy peach, complemented by delicate floral notes and a touch of fresh citrus. The palate is wonderfully rounded and textured, with sweet nectarine flavours, refreshing acidity and a gentle off-dry finish. A combination of stainless steel and old French oak fermentation brings lovely depth and complexity without overpowering the vibrant fruit. Deliciously approachable yet elegant, it's an excellent match for fresh seafood, roast chicken, creamy pasta or lightly spiced Asian dishes.

What the winery says:

The 2026 Pinot Gris was produced from hand-harvested fruit grown in Marlborough's Rapaura sub-region, with grapes picked at different stages of ripeness to enhance complexity. The cloudy pressed juice was fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and old French oak barrels, before blending and a short period of lees ageing added texture and depth. Oxidative juice handling techniques were used to minimise phenolic extraction. The finished wine offers ripe pear, apple and peach aromas, floral notes and subtle citrus flavours, with a rounded palate and an off-dry finish. Harvested in March and bottled in June 2026, this wine is certified vegan by the New Zealand Vegetarian Society and has excellent potential to develop over the next five years.
