Its 119 grams per litre of residual sugar brings genuine richness, but fresh acidity and a relatively light 11% alcohol keep the wine vibrant rather than heavy. Produced only when the season allows, this half-bottle has the concentration and structure to age beautifully. Over-row nets allowed the picking team to make several passes through the Chenin Blanc block, leaving selected bunches to develop greater sugar concentration and light botrytis. The fruit was hand-picked, whole-cluster pressed and partially fermented to retain its natural sweetness. Deep gold in colour, the wine shows dried tropical fruit, apricot and light toffee apple, followed by luscious stone fruit and citrus balanced by easy acidity.
